What is Probably Stolen About?
You open a shop on a corrupt space station and trade in weapons, chemicals, and stolen goods. You need to estimate the value of products, identify fakes, check durability and completeness, and pass illegal goods to the right customers. Additionally, there are raids, inspections, addictions, and rent that's due on time. GameStar draws a comparison to Papers, Please with a cyberpunk aesthetic.
How Did the Demo Turn into a Hit?
According to tinyBuild CEO Alex Nichiporchik, the game initially started as a one-person project under the name Deepspace Emporium. Back then, the demo only reached 28 concurrent players. tinyBuild believed in it nonetheless and brought the studio Questing Goose on board. From our perspective, this case shows how much patience and refinement can pay off for indie titles – and that Steam records don't just belong to AAA games.
