Set your alarms early: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Warzone will launch Season 1 on Friday, November 6th, at 6 AM German time (CET). Polygon reports this. Activision is thus deviating from the usual pattern, as new Call of Duty seasons typically started around noon.
When Does Season 1 Start in Your Time Zone?
The starting point is 0 AM EST on Friday, November 6th. This results in the following times:
- North American West Coast: 9 PM PST, Thursday, November 5th
- North American East Coast: 12 AM EST, Friday, November 6th
- United Kingdom: 5 AM GMT, Friday, November 6th
- Western Europe and Germany: 6 AM, Friday, November 6th
- Australian East Coast: 4 PM AEDT, Friday, November 6th
What Does Season 1 Bring for Modern Warfare 4 and DMZ?
At launch, three new maps, two new weapons, and three modes will arrive. A mid-season update will later add two more maps and weapons. According to Polygon, this scope is slightly smaller than that of Black Ops 7's seasons.
In DMZ, the new location X01 is being added, described by the official blog as a previously undiscovered weapons facility north of the North Korean border. This refers to a gloomy network of corridors, tunnels, and chambers surrounding a secret weapon manufacturing plant.
What's Changing in Warzone?
Modern Warfare 4 will be fully integrated into Warzone. The DMZ map Hajin is coming to Battle Royale, as well as weapons and equipment from MW4. Additionally, there's a new Resurgence map called Zodiac, while Verdansk and Rebirth Island are returning. Simultaneously, Warzone will launch on Nintendo Switch 2.
What Should You Expect?
Those who want to jump straight into gaming before work or school should prepare their downloads, as the launch this time is in the night or early morning. The new weather system is also a topic we've already covered in our report on the Weather System in Warzone from Season 1. You can read about how the balance in DMZ has changed in our news update on the DMZ Patch with Weakened UAV Towers.
From our perspective, the early launch time is a sensible step: players in Europe will, for the first time before a weekend, enjoy a season launch in the morning instead of the afternoon. Whether the scope convinces the community will become clear in the first few days.
