Modern Warfare 4 DMZ: Where to Find High-Tenacity Fibers

High-Tenacity Fibers are among the most coveted crafting materials in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode, especially early on. You'll need them for several upgrades to your FOB, particularly for crafting higher-tier ingredients. Polygon has compiled the best places to collect them.

Where to Find High-Tenacity Fibers in DMZ?

According to Polygon, the best spot is on the roof of "La Grand Vie" in Songdo Wharf. There are fewer enemies there than in the Armory and Barracks of Chang-san Air Base, two of the three locations listed in the game. Check the 13th floor and the roof: The Fibers are often found as ground loot.

What Dangers Lurk at the Location?

One or two Commanders often patrol there, such as Colossus, Death Stalker, or Tank. Sneak and use a suppressed weapon. The Netshin Tech Complex is also nearby, where you need to place a transmitter for one chapter. This can be conveniently combined with a Fibers run.

A tip for preparation: Approach the run with a clear plan. If you reach the roof, you should know your way back, as any encounter with a Commander becomes risky, especially with a full backpack. According to Polygon, two Fibers locations near Chang-san Air Base are significantly more dangerous, so you'll save yourself some stress by preferring Songdo Wharf.

Why is the Effort Worth It?

From our perspective, this is a sensible route for beginners: Those who collect Fibers early will progress faster with FOB upgrades. The debate surrounding a PvE variant of DMZ also shows how much players expect from the mode. Spawn rates and loot tables can change with updates, so keep that in mind.

Important for newcomers: Fibers are not an end in themselves, but rather a bottleneck for progress. Those who acquire them in larger quantities early on can initiate several upgrades in parallel, instead of planning a new deployment for each improvement. This saves time and reduces the risk of returning with an empty backpack.
