GTA 6: Turkish Fans Professionally Dub Gameplay Reveal

How much do you want a game to the point where you re-dub an entire gameplay trailer? That's precisely what Turkish fans of Grand Theft Auto 6 have now done: they commissioned professional voice actors to dub the game's major gameplay reveal into Turkish – entirely on their own initiative, without any instruction from Rockstar. The reason behind this is a months-long campaign demanding official Turkish language support from Rockstar.

What exactly did the Turkish fans do?

Instead of just creating subtitles themselves, as is common in fan communities, the organizers brought in actual voice actors and had the complete gameplay reveal professionally redubbed – including precise lip-syncing and appropriate voice tones for Jason and Lucia. With this, they specifically want to show Rockstar: the demand for a Turkish version is not just a few comments under a YouTube video, but a serious, professionally executable demand from a huge player base.

Why has the Turkish community been fighting for language support for so long?

This is not a new issue. Under hashtags like #WeWantGTA6inTurkish and #GTA6inTurkish, the Turkish community has been collecting signatures for months, including via several Change.org petitions. Rockstar has officially confirmed 13 languages for GTA 6 so far – Turkish is not among them. This is all the more disappointing because Rockstar's Extended Look, from which the now-dubbed material originates, did not include Turkish – just like GTA 5 before it. Yet, according to industry figures, Turkey is one of Europe's most active gaming markets.

From our perspective, this action primarily demonstrates one thing: the immense passion within this fanbase. We recently reported on another curious fan campaign related to GTA 6 – clearly, the community is coming up with quite a few ideas for this game. Whether Rockstar will react to the pressure and eventually add Turkish remains to be seen. Given the effort the fans are voluntarily putting in, an official statement from the studio would certainly be overdue.
