Just before the major release, Sony is upping its game once more: At today's State of Play, PlayStation introduced two limited DualSense Wireless Controllers in a Grand Theft Auto VI design. Both models are entirely themed around Vice City and are slated for release on November 19th, precisely on the game's launch day.
The White Limited Edition represents daytime in Vice City: bright, pastel hues reminiscent of sandy beaches and the relaxed glamour of the coastal city. In contrast, the Black Limited Edition captures the energy of the nightlife, featuring rich neon colors directly inspired by the game's palette. Both controllers proudly display the distinctive VI logo on the touchpad and are designed to optimally leverage the DualSense's haptic feedback and adaptive trigger functionalities for GTA 6.
When and Where Can You Buy the GTA 6 DualSense Controllers?
According to the PlayStation Blog, both editions will launch on November 19, 2026, coinciding with the release of GTA 6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Sony has not yet detailed specific pre-order links for individual countries as part of the announcement, but pre-order pages for PlayStation Direct stores typically follow shortly after such a reveal.
What Do the GTA 6 Controllers Cost and What Do They Offer?
The price is set at $84.99 USD, or €84.99 in Europe and £74.99 in the UK, while in Japan, it will be ¥12,480 including tax. This places the controllers approximately 15 Euros above the price of a standard DualSense controller – a typical surcharge for limited special editions.
This move is particularly interesting because GTA 6 is not a PlayStation exclusive title, but will simultaneously be released for Xbox Series X/S. Nevertheless, Sony secures an exclusive marketing moment: Similar special controllers were recently available for titles like God of War Ragnarök or Spider-Man 2, though those were genuine PlayStation exclusives. For a multiplatform game like GTA 6, this action primarily demonstrates how much marketing value Sony still attributes to the Grand Theft Auto brand.
For fans who are already planning on getting a PS5 version of GTA 6, the purchasing decision should be simple: Anyone opting for one of the two editions should, given the historically high demand for limited GTA controllers, pre-order sooner rather than later once the official sales pages go live.
