Even before EA Sports FC 27 is even playable, fans can already start building their Ultimate Team. Today, the Companion App for smartphones goes live, following the launch of the browser-based Web App yesterday.
When Exactly Does the EA Sports FC 27 Companion App Launch?
The Companion App will be unlocked today at 5 PM UTC, which translates to 7 PM German time. The Web App has been live since yesterday, also starting at 5 PM UTC. Both applications are deliberately timed to go online shortly before the EA Sports FC 27 Early Access launch on September 18.
What Can You Already Do in the Companion and Web App?
- Trade on the transfer market: Buy and sell players to build up a coin buffer even before your first match.
- Open Starter Packs and claim rewards for returning players.
- Manage your Ultimate Team on the go, without needing a console or PC.
- The Web App runs entirely in your browser, no download required.
However, those hoping for Squad Building Challenges will need to be patient: SBCs are not available at launch in either the Web or Companion App and are slated to be added later in the first season.
From our perspective, this head start is invaluable for the community: Players who cleverly utilize the app's early access can already build up a significant coin advantage before the official Early Access begins on September 18 and the rest of the player base joins. Especially in Ultimate Team mode, where a strong start on the transfer market often dictates the first few weeks, this provides a tangible edge.
