After the summer break in the CS2 calendar, things are heating up again today: The online phase of BLAST Bounty Season 2 2026 has officially begun. Until July 26, 32 teams will compete across two elimination rounds for a total of eight tickets to the LAN finals, which will then be held live at the BLAST Studios in Malta. Following significant roster changes across many teams during the summer break, the tournament is considered one of the most unpredictable of the season.
The total prize pool is 1.15 million US dollars. Particularly exciting: Several Tier-2 teams were allowed to choose their own opponents for the first round, which promises some unusual matchups. After the online phase, a three-day break will follow, during which the remaining eight teams will travel to Malta.
The very first matchday already brought a small surprise: Ninjas in Pyjamas had to concede a 1:2 defeat to M80 – NiP only managed to secure the map Ancient before M80 closed out the series. For NiP, this means immediate pressure moving forward in the tournament.
Further matches of the opening round will continue non-stop over the coming days until it's decided which eight teams will qualify for the trip to Malta.
