Tsuru Reef in Battlefield 6: The Guide to the Series' Largest Map

Season 4 of Battlefield 6 introduces Tsuru Reef, the largest map in the series to date, and EA has now released an official developer guide for it. This island group somewhere in the Pacific is entirely designed for Naval Warfare: boats, aircraft carriers, and open water meet classic infantry combat on land. We've delved into the guide for you and summarized the most important points.

Tsuru Reef - Season 4 Battlefield 6 Map

The basic principle: Each team starts on its own home island in the east or west of the map, complete with boat and vehicle spawns. From there, you'll traverse narrow waterways and channels to a total of six main islands where the actual battles take place.

  • Yumeji Island: Home to the Majestic Ikoi Resort, a freshly renovated luxury vacation spot with plenty of cover among pools and bungalows.
  • Kaze Island: Here you'll find Mifune Landing and Tsuru Gate, two narrow landing points that can quickly become chokepoints.
  • Dusk Island: Moon Shore and Sunrise Harbor feature a distinctive, U-shaped harbor basin, ideal for close-quarters boat combat.
  • Mist Island: The NATO base is in the thick of the conflict, with the opposing faction Pax Armata attacking it, making the ground here fiercely contested.
  • Mt. Hoshizora: The map's long-extinct volcano is its highest point, making it a sniper's dream with views over almost the entire island chain.
  • USS Grant: The aircraft carrier not only serves as a massive backdrop but also as an advanced spawn point right in the action.

A few tactical tips from the guide you should keep in mind: Not every point needs to be captured on foot; some objectives can be taken directly from a boat. If you come under fire, simply dive under; the map's wave system provides real cover from enemy fire in open water. And instead of always running from your home base, you can also spawn on an RCB-90 boat, the USS Grant, or a squadmate on a contested island, which saves a ton of time in the hectic Season 4 chaos.
