Sony has announced the new games for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog in September 2026. As usual, there are new titles for all three subscription tiers – from Essential to Premium, with a clear focus on fresh releases rather than just catalog maintenance.

Which Games Are PlayStation Plus Essential Subscribers Getting in September 2026?

As usual, Essential games can be claimed until the next month's rollover, specifically until October 5th, and will then remain permanently in your library:

What's New in the Game Catalog for Extra and Premium?

Subscribers to PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium can look forward to a significantly larger selection. New additions to the Game Catalog include RuneScape: Dragonwilds as a Day-1 release, WWE 2K26, and the action-packed roguelite Ball x Pit, as well as the dating sim parody Date Everything!. Premium subscribers will also receive Mega Man X Command Mission and the Metro Redux collection, featuring Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light in their remastered versions.

This is still the exception rather than the rule for major new releases in the PS Plus catalog, unlike with Xbox Game Pass.
