The San Diego Comic-Con 2026 really delivered: In Hall H, Insomniac Games presented a new story trailer for Logan's long-awaited solo adventure during their “Marvel’s Wolverine – Deep Cuts” panel. And it packs a punch: The trailer centers on a substantial confrontation between Wolverine and Jean Grey, spiced up with appearances by The Hand and the blade-wielding assassin Lady Deathstrike.
Among those on stage were Creative Director Marcus Smith and Game Director Mike Daly, who offered deeper insights into the story without revealing too much. The voice cast was also confirmed: Liam McIntyre lends his voice to Wolverine, while Krizia Bajos takes on the role of Jean Grey.
For anyone wanting to delve deeper into the story before release, there's good news: a prequel comic has been announced, written by Narrative Director Walt Williams and drawn by Luke Ross. The comic is set to illuminate the events preceding the game's actual start, likely clarifying some open questions about the backstory.
There is still no concrete release date for Marvel’s Wolverine, but its appearance at Comic-Con shows that Insomniac has the project firmly in its sights and is now being much more generous with its reveals. Following the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the bar is set accordingly high for Insomniac's next project.
