Marvel Rivals: Mid-Season Patch Brings New Map Thebes and a Major Blood Hunt Overhaul

Just as Season 9 hits its halfway mark, Marvel Rivals delivers more: Mid-Season Patch 1.000.098 (PC version 1.62) has been live since July 23rd and brings with it a host of fresh content. The most significant addition is the new map, Thebes, which throws you right into the Season's theme, 'Mystery of Thebes' – an Egyptian setting with narrow alleyways, temple ruins, and plenty of cover for tactical gameplay.

In addition to the new map, developer NetEase Games has also addressed the Blood Hunt mode, which receives noticeable fine-tuning to its gear system. Players who have previously avoided the mode due to unbalanced equipment upgrades should give it another look now. Additionally, new skins for Psylocke and Hela are arriving in the in-game store.

  • New map "Thebes" with an Egyptian setting, as the core of Season 9's content plan "Mystery of Thebes"
  • Overhaul of the Blood Hunt mode, including a refined Gear Refining System
  • New purchasable skins for Psylocke and Hela
  • General performance and stability optimizations according to the patch notes
  • Launch of a Twitch Drops campaign with a free Daredevil costume for all who watch Marvel Rivals streams

The Twitch Drops are particularly appealing to those looking for a deal: Simply watch a participating Marvel Rivals stream on Twitch, link your account, and the Daredevil outfit is yours for free. If you’re already investing time in Season 9, you’re essentially getting the new skin for free.

The patch joins an already jam-packed Season 9 – meanwhile, the community is already heading towards the big Mid-Season Finals at the end of July, where top teams will battle for prize money and glory. More on that as it approaches.
