Xbox is really stepping up its subscription service again. Microsoft has announced the second wave of July additions for the Xbox Game Pass, and the biggest name among them is clear: Halo: Campaign Evolved is coming as a true day-one title to the subscription.
Specifically, here's how it works: Those who pre-ordered can jump in via Early Access starting July 23, with the full release for all Game Pass subscribers following on July 28. This means you won't have to pay extra to dive into the Master Chief's reimagined campaign.
But Microsoft wouldn't be Microsoft if it stopped there. Already today, July 22, the co-op horror title Shift at Midnight is available directly as a day-one release on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. The setting: You and your friends take on the night shift at a desolate gas station and must figure out what's behind the mysterious incidents there — all while trying not to become part of the next horror story yourselves.
The wave is rounded out by other titles like Mistfall Hunter and Beast of Reincarnation, which also land in the subscription directly on launch day. For Game Pass subscribers, this means: This month, there's once again more than enough reason to keep the controller in hand.
