New GTA 6 gameplay isn't on YouTube today, but in a cartoon series: Rockstar provided South Park with material that appears in the latest episode. Sounds like a joke, but it's real.
What Does the GTA 6 Clip in South Park Show?
In the early hours of October 29, 2026 (German time), Episode 4 of Season 29, "Guinea Pig on a Stick," aired. In one sequence, we see protagonist Jason walking along a beach. A South Park character explains that in the upcoming open-world adventure, you can pick up dog poop to throw at or attack NPCs.
That's exactly what we then see: Jason hurls a fresh pile at the back of an unsuspecting beachgoer and then smashes one into the face of another NPC. His cap flies off his head, and several small chunks swirl through the air. Gross, but an example of the attention to detail.
Is the Gameplay Really Real?
Yes. The episode's credits include the notice "Grand Theft Auto VI material courtesy of Rockstar Games, Inc." The clip is thus part of the marketing campaign and not a fake or fan-edit. PC Games also categorizes the footage as originating from Rockstar.
What Does This Mean for Players Shortly Before Release?
GTA 6 releases on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Pre-loading will be available beforehand, with a download size exceeding 200 GB – more on this in our report on download size and preload start. So make sure to clear enough space on your SSD in time.
From our perspective, the appearance is a clever marketing move: Instead of a traditional trailer, Rockstar reaches an audience that doesn't usually actively follow GTA news, and incidentally provides a detail that the community is guaranteed to discuss. Whether further cameos of this kind will follow is open – nothing has been confirmed regarding this.
