GTA 6 is almost here, and Rockstar is clearly packing a ton of leisure content into Vice City. The 26-minute Extended Look gameplay video and a recent analysis by GamePro reveal that in addition to the main story featuring Jason and Lucia, there will be plenty of side activities and mini-games to keep you busy between missions.
What Mini-Games and Activities Does GTA 6 Offer?
The list reads like a small amusement park right in the heart of Vice City. Among others, these activities have been revealed:
- Basketball on public squares and courts throughout the city
- Kayak tours through the waterways, canals, and swamps surrounding Vice City
- Additional sports and leisure activities, noticeably more diverse than in GTA 5
- Extra mini-games separate from the main story, primarily intended to make the open world feel more alive
How Does This Compare to GTA 5?
Even in GTA 5, Rockstar had proven with golf, tennis, and yoga that side activities beyond shootouts and chases are well-received. Vice City is now visibly ramping up this concept: more activities, more variety, more reasons to roam the city even without a mission objective. From our perspective, this is a smart move, because especially in a huge open world, long-term fun thrives on having enough to do beyond the main story. Our report on the current sales boost for PS5 and Xbox Series also shows how massive the anticipation for GTA 6 already is – a packed activity calendar should ensure that the game remains relevant long after its release on November 19, 2026.
