Rumor: GTA 6 To Offer 55 Trophies And Achievements

Rumor: This report has NOT yet been officially confirmed by Rockstar.

Those aiming to fully complete GTA 6 apparently have a lot ahead of them: According to Insider Gaming, Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to launch with 55 Trophies on PlayStation 5 and 55 Achievements on Xbox Series X|S. However, this number does not come from Rockstar but from a social media comment picked up by the portal.

How many Trophies did GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 have?

If the information is accurate, GTA 6 would slightly surpass both of its major predecessors. According to Insider Gaming, GTA 5 launched with 51 Trophies and Achievements, while Red Dead Redemption 2 had 52. This would not be a massive leap, but a small increase. GTA 5 later expanded to a total of 78 through GTA Online content. Reports suggest it is therefore conceivable that additional achievements will be added to GTA 6 over time. However, there is no confirmation of this yet.

Platinum Trophy and Mythic Achievement: What's the deal?

The question of the ultimate reward is particularly interesting. According to Insider Gaming, the data suggests there could be both a Platinum Trophy and a so-called Mythic Achievement. The latter is the new tier Xbox introduced for players who fully complete a game. The report states that 55 Achievements are configured, 54 of them with values between 1 and 54. Another is said to carry a value of 1000. This could represent the completion of the entire set, or perhaps just a placeholder for the Mythic Achievement. This also remains speculation.

Context: Numbers without content reveal little

To be frank, a mere number tells us nothing about the enjoyment of the hunt. Whether the list consists of challenging story milestones or tedious grind, we will only know once the names and descriptions are revealed. Rockstar has also set high expectations for a dense, vibrant open-world experience. Those aiming for Platinum or Mythic should therefore prepare for a long journey. Until Rockstar confirms anything, the number 55 remains an indication, not a certainty.

The release date itself is considered set: GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-loading beginning on November 10. More about the launch environment can be found in our report on physical PS5 boxes with codes that have already appeared at retailers, and in the news about educational leave for the GTA 6 launch.
