Specifically, the discovered files are said to point to new content for the Battle Royale format, which operates as a standalone mode in Battlefield 6. Officially, EA has not yet commented on these findings, neither confirming nor denying them. However, this is not uncommon for datamining reports, as publishers are often reluctant to comment on current developments before the actual reveal. The codename “Granite” is not entirely new to Battlefield insiders: A similar name has previously appeared in connection with earlier Battle Royale content for the game, which is why it remains unclear whether this refers to the same content or a completely new drop.
