The regular price for the Switch 2 version is $49.99 USD. Those who grab it at launch currently receive a 30 percent discount, reducing the price to $34.99 USD until September 24.
What is Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- Reunion About?
Crisis Core tells the prequel story to Final Fantasy VII from the perspective of Zack Fair, a SOLDIER member of Shinra whose fate is closely intertwined with that of the future FF7 hero, Cloud Strife. Anyone who never fully understood the background of Cloud's memories in Final Fantasy VII will find the crucial answers here – the game is considered by fans to be one of the most emotional stories in the entire FF7 universe. The title originally launched in 2007 for the PSP before being re-released in 2022 as “Reunion” with overhauled graphics and a modernized combat system for platforms including the regular Nintendo Switch. The now-released Switch 2 version is therefore not an entirely new game, but a version of the 2022 remaster specifically tailored for the new hardware.
For those just catching up on the FF7 universe: quite a bit is happening with the series elsewhere too.
