Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is Now Playable on Xbox Game Pass

What Black Ops Cold War Content is Included in Xbox Game Pass?

• The complete solo campaign centered around the hunt for Soviet agent Perseus
• The classic multiplayer with all familiar maps and game modes from the Cold War era
• The extensive, round-based Zombies mode, including several maps

This essentially gives you the complete package that Activision sold at its 2020 release, with no extra cost as part of your subscription.

On Which Platforms Can You Play Black Ops Cold War with Game Pass?

The title is available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Game Pass Premium on console, as well as via Cloud Gaming, and for PC Game Pass on your computer. So you don't need a separate subscription; you can start playing immediately with your existing access.

From our perspective, this is a clever move by Activision and Microsoft: With Black Ops 7 already on the market and Modern Warfare 4 currently in beta, both sides apparently want to show that a Game Pass subscription is worthwhile for Call of Duty fans across the entire series, not just for the latest installment. Those who missed the Cold War campaign or the Zombies maps back then now get access to one of the most solid entries of recent years without a purchase price. At the same time, another heavyweight, Cyberpunk 2077, will leave the service on September 15th, so the catalog is being actively refreshed.
