Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Kick Off Season 5 with New Map Jubilee

Season 5 for Black Ops 7 and Warzone has officially launched today, July 23rd. As with previous seasons, there's a substantial load of new content across all three game modes. Here's a rundown of the most important changes:

  • New Multiplayer Map “Jubilee”: a rural setting in Japan featuring a mix of narrow alleys and open spaces.
  • Remaster of the fan-favorite map “Frequency” from Black Ops 4, updated to suit current movement and weapon balancing.
  • Two new Limited-Time Modes: “Overdrive Domination” (accelerated Domination with movement boosts) and “Gauntlet Rush” (a fast-paced Gauntlet format with respawn waves).
  • New Zombies Survival Map “Eidskallen Lighthouse”, set at an abandoned lighthouse.
  • Warzone introduces a new Point of Interest to Verdansk: the “Drone Labs”, a research facility guarded by drones, featuring a correspondingly high loot density.
  • Weapon balancing, including adjustments to the AN-94, the Swordfish A1, and the DS20 Mirage Dual Fire Kit.

For multiplayer fans, the Frequency remaster will likely be of particular interest, as the map was already considered one of the more popular arena maps in the Black Ops 4 series. Warzone players, on the other hand, will find another hotspot for high-stakes drops with the Drone Labs, so if you're hunting for loot, be prepared for more resistance than usual.

Season 5 is available to play on all platforms starting now, with further details on Battle Pass content and Ranked adjustments expected to follow in the coming days, according to Activision.
