Barely has Season 5 concluded, and the next major shift for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone is already upon us: Season 06, dubbed “The Haunting,” kicks off on September 17th, bringing back not just the annual Halloween event, but also a full-fledged DOOM crossover.
Activision has officially confirmed the details via Xbox Wire. It's now clear: this spooky season will not only be the last major content season for Black Ops 7 but also the conclusion before the next big franchise upheaval.
When Does Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Season 06 The Haunting Start?
The launch kicks off on September 17, 2026, simultaneously for Black Ops 7 and Warzone across all platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC). According to current reports, the season will run for approximately 36 days, ending at the end of October just before the next major chapter in the series. The DOOM crossover itself won't launch directly with the season but rather a week later, on September 24th, as its own event within the season.
What Does the DOOM Crossover Bring to Call of Duty?
Starting September 24th, the Doom franchise officially makes its way into Black Ops 7 and Warzone. The centerpiece is an unlockable “Doom Slayer” Operator, alongside several “Doom Guy” skins and other cosmetics in the typical style of the legendary shooter. As is customary for Call of Duty events, there will be a free and a premium event track, with the latter expected to cost around 10 Euros, as usual.
What New Maps, Weapons, and Modes Are Coming in Season 06?
Even beyond DOOM and Halloween decorations, Season 06 is packed with new content. Here are the key highlights:
- Two new 6v6 Multiplayer Maps: “Quantum,” set in an arctic Guild facility, and “Bloodstead,” a spooky Halloween variant of the familiar Homestead map, complete with new decorations, more blood, and additional zombies.
- Two new weapons will be added to the arsenal with the season launch.
- In Warzone, Havens Hollow transforms into its night variant “Haunted Hollow,” featuring new POIs, spooky creatures, and a ghost train; additionally, the night variants of Verdansk and Rebirth Island will return.
- New Operators like Jason Voorhees and Dek will be available via bundles, Predator and Feral Predator are included in the Battle Pass, while Chucky and Tiffany Valentine can be unlocked through seasonal events.
- The Zombies mode will receive a new Survival map with “Kuwakojao Castle.”
- Zombie Royale returns, and “Giant Infected,” a 64-player large-scale version of the popular Infected mode, will be available on the new Haunted Hollow map.
- Later in the season, a Camo Party will also launch, featuring its own unlocks and a new melee weapon.

The Haunting is not a new concept: Black Ops 6 and Warzone already featured a Halloween season in autumn 2025 with horror icons like Predator and Chucky, who are now returning in slightly altered forms.
