Battlefield 6 is heading into its next phase: According to EA, Season 5 Phase 2 launches on November 10th. In the "High Stakes in the Casino" community update, the developers reveal what awaits you – and the motto is quite clear: a gambling den instead of wide-open battlefields.
What's Coming in Battlefield 6 Season 5 Phase 2?
Key highlights at a glance:
- New Map "European Casino": a pure infantry map, meaning no vehicles – close-quarters combat in tight spaces is key here.
- Casino Heist: a limited-time event that kicks off with the phase.
- New Tactical Gear: Reports suggest that the ADS-17 6GHz gadget and the M142 MRAS are among them.
- Weapon Changes: EA announces weapon adjustments; details are expected to follow with the patch notes.
How Long Does the Casino Heist Event Last?
The community update doesn't provide specific durations in its brief. Roadmap overviews suggest that the phase runs until December 7th and continues on December 8th with Phase 3 ("Frozen Aces"). However, this has not been officially confirmed in the reports available to us – we will keep you updated as soon as EA provides exact timings.
Why is an Infantry-Only Map Exciting for Battlefield 6?
Here's our take: Pure infantry maps traditionally polarize the series. Fans of vehicle battles and large conquest matches won't find much here, but those who enjoy close-quarters combat will finally get their fill again. It will be interesting to see how well the destruction and pathways through corridors and halls function – that will determine whether the map becomes a perennial favorite or a footnote. The fact that EA is now focusing on content again after the recent anti-cheat issues (our report on the anti-cheat balance) should please the community.
What Does This Mean for Players?
Plan for a patch download on November 10th and check the patch notes beforehand, as weapon changes can alter your loadout. If you want to participate in the Casino Heist event, jump in early while it's still time-limited.
