It's official: Electronic Arts has confirmed the roadmap for Battlefield 6 Season 4 “Pacific Front”, and it sounds like the biggest update for the shooter yet. Game Update 1.4.1.0 will be available for download on July 21st at 8:00 AM UTC, with the actual Season 4 content unlocking at 12:00 PM UTC.

The centerpiece of the new season is Tsuru Reef, which EA claims is the largest map ever built into a Battlefield game. This Pacific archipelago, featuring luxury bungalows, dense vegetation, and rugged cliffs, is designed for large-scale naval engagements: battles will take place simultaneously on land, in the air, and on water. Wake Island also returns, but only later — more on that in a moment.
Also new is the Dynamic Wave System: ocean waves will now directly influence gameplay. Swimmers and those surfacing will feel the currents, making drag-and-revive actions in open water more challenging, and even your line of sight when aiming from aboard a boat will change with the swell. To complement this, two new boats are being introduced: the fast RCB-90 Patrol Boat for assaults and the more compact NSW RHIB, a 7.7-meter long four-seater boat with a mounted machine gun for rapid troop transport.
The weapon arsenal is also growing: three additional weapons are coming to the game with the EF88, the VSSM, and the new BROD 3, along with new accessories like an Extended Barrel and the 1P86-LPVO scope for more precise long-range engagements.
- New Map: Tsuru Reef — according to EA, the largest Battlefield map ever
- Dynamic Wave System: Ocean waves affect swimming, line of sight, and vehicle handling
- Two new boats: RCB-90 Patrol Boat and NSW RHIB
- Three new weapons: EF88, VSSM, BROD 3
- New accessories: Extended Barrel, 1P86-LPVO scope
- Update 1.4.1.0: Download available from July 21st, 8:00 AM UTC, Season launch 12:00 PM UTC
For everyone who's been waiting for Wake Island: according to the roadmap, the iconic map won't arrive immediately but with the next phase of the season. "Top Gun," a crossover content, is scheduled for August 18th, followed by "Tidal Strike" on September 15th — so Season 4 will be rolled out in several waves over weeks rather than all at once.
For the community, the new wave system should be particularly exciting: Battlefield has teased water gameplay before, but a system that actively affects aiming and survival would be a real step forward for the series' naval battles. We'll keep an eye on the update and report back once the first players have been out on Tsuru Reef.
