Battlefield 6: Massive Server Outage Knocks Out Login and Multiplayer

Woke up, launched the game, and nothing worked: For many Battlefield 6 fans, Monday started with a major headache. Since the early morning hours, reports have been flooding in about login errors, dropped connections, and problems starting multiplayer matches. Players in Great Britain, the US, and Canada are particularly affected.

The outage tracker Downdetector shows a significant spike in complaints that began shortly before midnight US East Coast time and continued into Monday morning. On forums and social media, questions are running rampant: Is it their own account, their internet provider, or the servers themselves? The answer is likely clear for most, as the accumulation of reports from multiple countries simultaneously points more towards a server-side issue than individual connection errors.

So far, EA has provided no official statement regarding the cause or a timeline for a solution. This is particularly frustrating because Battlefield 6 had just truly picked up pace with Season 4, and player counts have noticeably increased recently. A prolonged outage would be exceptionally bad timing for the community.

We are staying on top of this and will update as soon as EA comments or the servers are back up and running smoothly. Until then, for many, it means waiting, reloading, and hoping.
