Star Wars Zero Company Gets First Patch: That Annoying Bug Is Now Fixed

The turn-based tactical game Star Wars Zero Company is getting its first major patch – and it's a big one: With Update 1.1, developer Bit Reactor eliminates over 60 bugs that had accumulated since its release.

Which Bugs Does Zero Company's First Patch Fix?

Perhaps the most annoying fix addresses a bug that had been frustrating players since launch: Attacks with a displayed 100 percent hit chance could still miss. This is particularly frustrating in a tactical game where every move counts. Additionally, the patch includes these improvements, among others:

• Various crashes and graphical stuttering have been fixed, including a specific crash in Beskar Mode.
• A rare softlock in the main menu has been fixed, which occurred when players frantically spammed inputs during the intro cinematic.
• Save file corruptions caused by sudden or forced game termination have been resolved.
• The Bacta Tank could be used multiple times per cycle due to a bug – that has now been corrected.
• Cone-shaped attacks no longer unnaturally snap into place when using mouse and keyboard controls.
• In Beskar Mode, save files were sometimes accidentally deleted – this issue has also been resolved.
• Players who had not received their pre-order or Deluxe Edition content will now receive them correctly.

Why Was the Patch Overdue for Many Players?

The hit chance bug, in particular, caused frustration in the community because it undermined the core promise of a tactical strategy game: If even a guaranteed 100 percent chance doesn't reliably hit, the entire turn planning loses its meaning. The fact that over 60 issues were bundled into one update shows how much feedback and bug reports had accumulated since the release – a not uncommon scenario for strategy games with complex combat systems shortly after launch.

For players, this primarily means: Anyone who has paused their gameplay due to the hit chance bugs or save file issues can now jump back in without hesitation. However, old save files corrupted by the bug cannot be automatically repaired by this – only a new save file after the update will help here.
