Gamescom 2026 is fast approaching, and Nintendo has now officially confirmed its lineup for the fair. From August 26th to 30th, Koelnmesse will once again be completely dedicated to video games, and Nintendo is making a strong presence with its own booth in Hall 9. The company has announced nine playable Switch 2 titles, spanning genres from sports to RPGs and shooters.
Here are the Games You Can Go Hands-On With in Cologne
The list mixes in-house Nintendo titles with prominent third-party representatives. Specifically, the following nine games have been confirmed so far:
- Nintendo Switch Sports Resort
- Splatoon Raiders
- Pokémon Pokopia (Expansion Pass)
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
- 007 First Light
- Minecraft Dungeons II
- EA Sports FC 27
- Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Orbitals
Particularly exciting for all Call of Duty fans: Modern Warfare 4 will run on the Switch 2 as a native port, not as a cloud streaming solution like previous attempts on Nintendo consoles. The port is being developed jointly by Infinity Ward and Digital Legends. This marks the series' return to Nintendo hardware in a playable form for the first time in approximately 13 years. 007 First Light is also prominently featured on the list and is expected to draw long queues at the booth. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, you can get a taste of the freshly released expansion for Pokémon Pokopia. Nintendo itself also emphasizes that the list may not be final – the announcement explicitly mentions “and more,” so additional titles could be added before the fair.
