Following a highly anticipated beta phase, Mistfall Hunter from developer Bellring Games has now officially launched. The global unlock will occur simultaneously across all platforms at 1 AM UTC on July 30, which corresponds to a 6 PM PT launch on July 29 for players on the US West Coast.
What Mistfall Hunter Is About
The game's narrative is set after a war between gods and so-called Outer Gods, which neither side survived. From the blood of the fallen deities arose a corrupting force called Gyldenmist, which has contaminated vast regions of the world. A young woman named Dew possesses the ability to resurrect fallen heroes with immortal bodies, and players control these resurrected fighters through risky extraction runs: collect gear and loot, confront other players and environmental hazards, and escape with as much spoils as possible before everything is lost.
Price, Platforms, and Game Pass
Mistfall Hunter is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Standard Edition costs $24.99 USD, while a Deluxe Edition is priced at $39.99 USD. However, Xbox Game Pass subscribers get the game included at no additional cost. Furthermore, there's a 10 percent launch discount on the regular purchase price until August 12.
The title generated buzz even before its release, evident during the open beta held as part of Steam Next Fest: Between June 14 and 22, almost 430,000 people played the test version across all platforms—an unusually high number for a new extraction RPG. This very success is likely why Microsoft secured a day-one spot for the title on Game Pass, rather than adding it months later as is often the case.
