The leaker known as Cyberleek has released a new video from Grand Theft Auto 6 – and this time, it's not a short clip. Approximately four minutes of gameplay are said to showcase the game's story prologue, featuring protagonist Lucia Caminos in prison. Allegedly, the footage also includes flashbacks revealing how she came to be arrested. The noteworthy detail: The leak appears just one day before Rockstar Games' big Netflix appearance.
What Exactly Does the New GTA 6 Leak Show?
According to circulating reports, dialogues in the prologue are supposedly controlled via response options, to which NPCs react differently – reportedly a significantly more interactive approach than in previous GTA installments. The video is also said to show how Lucia lived before her incarceration. Nothing has been confirmed so far; the community relies solely on the circulating material and reports from established publications like IGN.
Why Is the Leak Appearing Right Now?
The timing is likely no coincidence: Already tomorrow, August 27th, Rockstar will exclusively debut the official GTA 6 “Extended Look” on Netflix, followed six hours later by a free release on their own channels. Rockstar had previously explicitly warned fans about story spoilers – only for exactly such material to appear online just a few hours later.
This can only be understood in the context of the past few weeks: Since mid-August, Cyberleek has already released around 15 clips from GTA 6, ranging from driving physics to flight and combat mechanics, as well as glimpses into nightclubs, shops, and radio stations. As our article on the previous Cyberleek clip featuring the alleged GameStop parody also shows: The wave of leaks has not ceased for weeks. Rockstar itself recently described the series of leaks as “heartbreaking,” as we detailed in our report on the studio's official reaction. As of now, this changes nothing about the game's release date: GTA 6 is still slated to launch on November 19, 2026.
From our perspective, the leak is unlikely to diminish tomorrow's Netflix event – on the contrary, the additional attention could even further fuel anticipation. However, for those who wish to preserve the excitement until tomorrow, the advice remains: If you want to avoid spoilers, it's best to steer clear of the circulating clips.
