GTA 6: Trevor Actor Steven Ogg Wants to Stream the Game

Trevor is one of the most iconic characters from GTA 5. His actor, Steven Ogg, however, long had a distant relationship with the series. As recently as February 2024, he stated that he didn't want to play GTA 6. It seems that has now changed, shortly before the November 19th release.

Why Does Steven Ogg Suddenly Want to Play GTA 6?

For several weeks now, Ogg has been a regular guest on the GTA 5 livestreams of his former colleague Ned Luke, who portrays Michael. In a recent stream, Ogg himself brought up the idea of playing GTA 6 together: “We should do that with the new one too, when GTA 6 comes out. It will, of course, be completely different. And if we talk about the animations … that could be pretty funny.”

According to GamePro, Ogg is particularly interested in the new actors and characters. Over the past twelve years, he has learned more and more about GTA 5, and this perspective on the game seems to have changed his stance.

What Does Ned Luke Say About a Joint Stream?

Luke is immediately on board. He wants to finish his current GTA 5 playthrough before GTA 6's release and then continue. Ogg also asked if Luke still had contact with Rockstar. Luke laughed, denying it, and joked: “I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.” Whether there's any genuine insider knowledge behind this cannot be inferred. It's a joke, nothing more.

Important for anyone hoping for an appearance of the two in the game: Trevor does not appear in GTA 6. This is purely about a joint stream by the actors.

Why is This Interesting for Fans?

From our perspective, this story shows the immense appeal of GTA 6. When even someone who has kept a distance from the series for years suddenly wants to join in, it speaks volumes about the anticipation. According to GamePro, the duo's GTA 5 streams are already entertaining. A joint playthrough of GTA 6 would accordingly have significant entertainment value.
