Things aren't getting any quieter at Rockstar ahead of the GTA 6 release. On the contrary: the studio in Edinburgh has exceptionally opened its doors. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier was on site with photographer Robert Ormerod. His pictures show what it looks like at Rockstar Games shortly before the launch on November 19, 2026.
What Do the Photos from Rockstar North's Studio Show?
The shots consist of three images shared by a Reddit user. They clearly show that GTA 6 takes center stage even within the studio. Visible are several artworks, magazines, and a huge neon logo of the game. So far, no further details are available: no game content or development progress can be discerned from the pictures.
Normally, you don't just walk into a studio of this magnitude. Especially now, security measures are likely to have been tightened even further. This makes it all the more remarkable that Rockstar allowed photos at all.
How is the Community Reacting to the Images?
The excitement in the comments is huge. One user wrote it was "like looking into the Pentagon." Another added that there are even more pictures with more details of the actual Pentagon. Still others called the rooms the "Area 51 of gaming," and one person commented that it almost felt forbidden to see these photos.
This fits the picture that has emerged over months: Rockstar communicates extremely sparingly. Every detail that surfaces immediately becomes an event. We recently saw just how much the studio is running at full throttle with the surprisingly released launch trailer.
What Does This Mean for the GTA 6 Release?
The photos do not allow for specific conclusions about the game's state. From our perspective, they primarily show one thing: Rockstar is in the final sprint and aims to meet the November 19 deadline. For PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, this remains unchanged, while the PC version will follow in 2027, according to GamePro. Hopefully, official material rather than office photos will soon provide more information.
