Rockstar is keeping the marketing machine running: Four new images of the main characters Lucia and Jason have appeared via Love magazine. The cover features an illustration of the couple, while the magazine itself contains new in-game screenshots.
What Do the New GTA 6 Screenshots Show?
According to IGN, these are the four scenes:
- A black-and-white image of the two in casual clothing: Jason in a white tank top with muscular arms, Lucia in a leopard print crop top.
- Two images where they are sitting opposite each other in a diner. A large bag, which could be filled with loot, suggests something is being planned.
- Shots in dressier clothing – Jason in biker leather – playing pool in a biker bar.
Whether the diner is the scene of a heist, a date, or an argument cannot be inferred from the images. That remains speculation.
What Does Rockstar Say About Lucia and Jason?
According to IGN, Rockstar officials are also quoted in the Love article. Rupert Humphries, Senior Vice President of Narrative, says the couple is chasing the American Dream – meaning the desire for their own home and paying off debts, not billions. He added: “When you put so much effort into a version of today’s world, it has to be more over-the-top, crazier, and more aggressive.”
Writer Elizabeth Gauvey-Kern emphasizes that both characters should be vulnerable, tough, and flawed, and learn from each other. This is what makes them authentic.
Why is This Important for the GTA 6 Community?
From our perspective, the image selection shows where Rockstar wants to steer the narrative: less gangster megalomania, more relationship drama. The Game Informer cover story with twelve new screenshots already showed how tightly the pre-release campaign is scheduled. In parallel, a collaboration with the Miami Heat is underway: The NBA team will take on the Milwaukee Bucks as “A Night in Vice City,” live on ESPN.
