GTA 6: First Actor Officially Confirms His Role

For months it was speculated, now it's official: Actor Stephen Root has confirmed that he is starring in GTA 6. In an interview with AP News on the sidelines of the BAFTA TV Tea Party, Root spoke openly about his role after many fans had long recognized his distinctive voice.

Root lends his voice to the character Brian Heder, a washed-up drug smuggler from the golden age of smuggling in the Florida Keys. Heder still runs a boatyard today and, along with his third wife Lori, continues to push drugs. Root himself is known for his role as Milton in “Office Space” as well as for numerous voice-acting roles. His voice was already heard in early GTA 6 trailer snippets, which is why observant fans had correctly guessed the casting before the official confirmation.
