According to several German gaming outlets, GTA 6 leaker “Cyberleek” has allegedly shared a new piece of information from their trove – and this time, it's about music. The leaked material reportedly features “Herz aus Glas” (Heart of Glass) by Marianne Rosenberg playing on the fictional radio station Kaleidoscope FM, which is the German cover version of Blondie's 1979 global hit “Heart of Glass”.
Which German Song is Allegedly Featured in the GTA 6 Leak?
Reports indicate the clip once again comes from the well-known GTA 6 leaker Cyberleek, who for months has been consistently releasing small gameplay snippets and detailed information from what appears to be a genuine build of the game. This time, it's reportedly a radio segment featuring “Herz aus Glas” – Marianne Rosenberg's German-language version of “Heart of Glass”. Rockstar Games has not confirmed this, but several established German outlets like GamePro and 4Players have independently picked up on the leak.
Why is the Song Making the Community Ponder the Leaker's Origin?
This situation becomes particularly interesting because it aligns with the ongoing discussion about Cyberleek's identity. Reports suggest that Take-Two suspects a former German employee, or at least someone from a German-speaking region, is behind several leaks, and has consequently taken legal action against individual sources – we extensively covered this in our article on the presumed German origin of the leaker. A German radio classic appearing in the leaked material naturally further fuels this speculation, even if it's not proof on its own.
Is This the First Appearance of “Heart of Glass” in a GTA Game?
No. The English original already played over 20 years ago in GTA: Vice City Stories on the station Wave 103. Should the leak be confirmed, the German cover version in GTA 6 would therefore be more of a nod to Vice City veterans than a completely new musical direction – just packaged a bit more subtly.
From our perspective, this fits the pattern well: Rockstar has already experimented multiple times with GTA 6 radio stations featuring well-known songs in unusual versions, rather than simply recycling the original hits. However, whether “Herz aus Glas” actually makes it into the final game, we won't know until release.
