Rumor: Assassin's Creed Hexe Could Launch in Late 2027

Important Note: This is a rumor that has NOT yet been officially confirmed by Ubisoft.

According to a new insider report, fans will apparently have to wait significantly longer than expected for Assassin’s Creed Hexe. Insider NateTheHate, considered reliable in the scene, claims the witch-hunt adventure set in medieval France won't be released until the second half of 2027 at the earliest – and not, as previously rumored, in June 2027.

What the Insider Specifically Claims

According to NateTheHate, the reason for the alleged delay is a major upheaval within the development team: Reports suggest that around 50 people have been reassigned from or have left the project, allegedly including the Game Director. Officially, Ubisoft has not yet commented on either the personnel changes or a new timeline. Complicating matters, the insider scene itself isn't entirely in agreement: another well-known leaker with the handle “Rogue” continues to stand by a June 2027 release date. From an outside perspective, it’s impossible to conclusively determine how reliable each source ultimately is – however, both insiders have been correct in the past.

Why Delays Are Not Uncommon for Assassin’s Creed

Another setback wouldn’t be entirely out of the blue: The last major installment in the series was delayed multiple times before it finally hit stores, and the franchise in general hasn’t exactly been known for hitting its announced release dates in recent years. Should the current rumor prove true, this pattern would continue once again. For players, this practically means: Anyone who was hoping for a release date in the first half of 2027 should temper those expectations for now and wait for an official Ubisoft announcement before committing to a specific date.

From our perspective, a later but solid release date is clearly preferable to yet another rushed launch – especially after the problems other major Ubisoft titles have faced at launch recently. However, until official confirmation, everything remains speculation.
