Just in time for tomorrow's release on September 17, 2026, Nintendo has already released a Day-One Update for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. The tactical RPG is the 18th main installment in the series and launches exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

According to the official patch notes, Version 1.0.1 primarily brings two things: Firstly, players will receive free special weapons from the Fire Emblem series, which can be picked up during gameplay, including at the location Dagsion. Secondly, Intelligent Systems has fixed several minor bugs that could disrupt the player experience. Nintendo doesn't provide exact details on individual bug fixes but emphasizes that the update should positively impact overall stability.

Those looking to prepare for the release should plan for enough storage space: The base game is approximately 29.5 GB, with the Day-One Update adding another 297 MB on top.
