Battlefield 6 Arrives on Xbox Game Pass October 13th

Xbox has unveiled the first wave of Game Pass titles for October 2026, and the biggest hitter is a shooter: Battlefield 6 is joining the subscription service on October 13th. Xbox Wire confirmed this on October 7th.

When and where does Battlefield 6 launch on Game Pass?

According to Xbox Wire, the shooter will be available on October 13th for Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It's included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Battlefield 6 is not mentioned in the announcement for Game Pass Premium or the Essential tier.

Xbox describes the game as the “definitive Battlefield experience,” featuring large-scale warfare, fast-paced close combat, and tactical destruction. Anyone who's ever sought cover in a collapsing building knows exactly what they mean.

What bonuses are there for EA Play members?

Xbox lists additional extras. EA Play members can unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack, redeem the Season 5 EA Play Pack, and earn recurring seasonal rewards. Game Pass Ultimate already includes EA Play, plus members get a 10 percent discount on select digital EA purchases.

By the way, the current season is fresh. We've summarized what Season 5 content brings in our report on Battlefield 6 Season 5 with Las Vegas, Area 51, and a Dead Space Crossover.

What other games are coming in the October wave?

Battlefield 6 isn't alone. According to Xbox Wire, the wave also brings these titles:

  • Echo Weaver (October 8th): Time-loop Metroidvania, Ultimate and PC Game Pass
  • Forever Ago (October 8th): Single-player road trip with a camera, Ultimate and PC Game Pass
  • Neon Abyss 2 (October 8th): Roguelike platformer, also in the Premium tier
  • Deep Dish Dungeon (October 13th): Survival exploration with Metroidvania elements, solo or co-op
  • Valor Mortis (October 13th): First-person Soulslike from the creators of Ghostrunner
  • Bluey’s Happy Snaps (October 15th) and Chained Beasts (October 15th, co-op gladiator roguelike for 1 to 4 players)
  • Beyond These Stars (October 16th, PC only): City-building on the back of a space whale

Additionally, already available titles include Gears of War: E-Day, Minecraft Dungeons II, and Shape of Dreams.

What does this mean for players?

From our perspective, this is a strong move for Game Pass. A current shooter with ongoing seasons is exactly what subscription customers have been missing for a long time. Anyone who hasn't bought Battlefield 6 yet can now jump in at no extra cost, provided they have Ultimate or PC Game Pass. For Premium subscribers, the door remains closed for now.

At the same time, the brand is likely to gain further reach. Something is also happening outside of the games: Sony is reportedly negotiating a film, more on that in our article about the Battlefield film with Christopher McQuarrie and Michael B. Jordan. More players in multiplayer certainly won't hurt.
