Battlefield 6 is now available via the Play List: Xbox has launched its EA Play member benefit promotion for October. Those who use Game Pass Ultimate with EA Play or PC Game Pass can play the shooter without an extra purchase – and also receive a few bonuses.
According to Xbox Wire, Battlefield 6 is playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming, Xbox PC Game Pass, or Ultimate with EA Play. The timing is relevant because Season 5, centered around Las Vegas, has just launched – as we described in our report on the launch of 'Siege of Vegas'.
What do EA Play Members get with Battlefield 6?
- New players can redeem an EA Play Deployment Pack.
- All members receive the Season 5 EA Play Pack – available until January 18.
- Recurring seasonal rewards are also included.
- There's a 10 percent discount on the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, Battlefield Pro, and other EA content.
The GOTY Edition is not included – that must still be purchased separately. It brings, among other things, the 'Trusted Reserve Pax Support Soldier' skin and the Phantom Pack.
What does Season 5 offer in Battlefield 6?
Players who jump in now will encounter three new maps: the Las Vegas Strip, the Casinos, and the secret base Area 51. According to Xbox, there are also six new weapons, two new vehicles, the free Battle Royale mode Rapid Royale, the official launch of Ranked BR, as well as Leaderboards and Platoons. We had already summarized the season's timeline in the Season 5 Roadmap, including a Dead Space event starting October 20.
Is it worth joining via Game Pass now?
From our perspective: yes, at least for a taste. The promotion lowers the barrier to entry precisely when Season 5 is enticing players with a lot of new content. At the same time, it's also a signal from EA and Microsoft about how important new player numbers are to them. The discounts on Battlefield Pro and the Shortcut Kit are also a clear incentive to invest money immediately after testing. Those who have already purchased the game primarily benefit from the Season 5 EA Play Pack, provided an EA Play subscription is active.
Another tip: Some October rewards for other EA games expire earlier than the Battlefield Pack – for example, the Apex Legends charm only lasts until November 2. So, if you play multiple titles, you shouldn't wait too long.
