VALORANT: Team Liquid Benches MiniBoo Ahead of Stage 2 – Fire Flux Acquires REBORN Roster

Just before the start of the VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA Stage 2, two roster updates are stirring the community: Team Liquid is temporarily parting ways with a core player, while the Fire Flux Esports organization is providing a new home for an entire team.

Team Liquid's Shake-up: MiniBoo Departs, Kicks Arrives

Dominykas „MiniBoo“ Lukaševičius will not be part of Team Liquid's active roster for the upcoming Stage 2. Notably, the move to the bench came at the player's own request, with MiniBoo stating he wishes to take time to reflect on his future as a professional player. He will be replaced by Kimmie „Kicks“ Laasner, who previously played in the organization's academy team.

Fire Flux Snags the Entire REBORN Team

The Turkish Challengers team REBORN will now compete under the banner of Fire Flux Esports for the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Play-Ins. This provides much-needed professional infrastructure for the previously unorganized squad. The roster includes Mehmet Batu „batujnax“ Özaslan, Berkay „hezacoil“ Doğar, Samet „Kachoww“ Arıcı, Utku Onur „DeadInk“ Aydın, and Kaan „reazy“ Ürpek, with Mehmet „b1squw1“ Aydın also available as a substitute.

For Team Liquid, this shake-up is part of an already turbulent season where the organization has been struggling with inconsistent form for months. A voluntary move to the bench by an an established player like MiniBoo is an unusually open way of addressing their own crisis. For REBORN, on the other hand, the Fire Flux deal is a tangible vote of confidence just before an important tournament stage, as Play-In teams without an organization traditionally face significantly greater challenges with sponsorship and planning stability.
