Toy Story 3 Delisted on Xbox 360 – Next-Gen Remaster Coming in October

Those who still want to secure the Xbox 360 version of Toy Story 3 should hurry: Microsoft will permanently remove the 2010 licensed title from the store on September 29, 2026. However, the reason comes with good news for fans: Just two weeks later, on October 15, 2026, Atari and Digital Eclipse will release the “Toy Story 3: Complete Edition,” a completely overhauled remaster for current platforms.

What Happens to Already Purchased Xbox 360 Copies of Toy Story 3?

Those who already own the title don't need to worry: According to the announcement, already purchased digital copies will remain playable and can still be downloaded even after the delisting. Only new purchases through the store are affected – from September 29, 2026, the old Xbox 360 version simply won't be available for purchase anymore.

What's New in Toy Story 3: Complete Edition?

The remaster brings the game to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam in 4K resolution and at 60 frames per second. Additionally, content that was exclusive to the PlayStation 3 version in 2010 will now be available on all platforms for the first time – including the free “Toy Box” mode alongside the main campaign. The Complete Edition costs $24.99 digitally, while the physical version will be released as a double pack alongside Toy Story: Retro Roundup! for Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and PS4 ($39.99 to $49.99) – an Xbox retail version is not planned.

Why is Atari Releasing Two New Toy Story Games Now?

The re-releases deliberately coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Toy Story film series and join a growing list of retro remasters for which Digital Eclipse has made a name for itself in recent years. From our perspective, the double strategy is clever: Instead of just sprucing up a single old game, fans also get a collection of early Toy Story games with “Retro Roundup!” – a package that appeals to both nostalgics and new players who never played the 2010 title.
