Sony has unveiled the PlayStation Plus monthly games for October: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, offering three titles at no extra cost for subscribers.
The lineup comes from the official PlayStation Blog. According to the graphic, the games will be available from October 6th to November 2nd, 2026. Anyone who adds them to their library during this period can keep them as long as their PlayStation Plus subscription is active.
Which Games Are Available on PlayStation Plus in October?
- F1 25: The racing simulation from EA Sports, where you compete for victory in Formula 1.
- Hunt: Showdown 1896: The multiplayer shooter where you hunt monsters while competing against other players. More about the game can be found on the official website.
- Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2: Here you fight against enemies from the EDF series, this time presented in a voxel art style.
Until When Can You Redeem the October Games?
According to Sony, the redemption window runs from October 6th to November 2nd. Mark your calendar, because after that, the games will disappear from the monthly offering. And one more note: the games remain accessible only as long as you are a paying member, so they are not permanently yours.
Is the October Lineup Worth It?
From our perspective, the mix is solid. Hunt: Showdown 1896 is a title that's well worth trying out for the price of a subscription, as the game thrives on the tension within its matches. F1 25 will likely please racing fans who didn't want to spend money on a racing game recently. Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 is the wildcard title for anyone who enjoys quirky arcade fun. A true blockbuster is missing, but there's something for various tastes.
