It's that time again: Sony is updating the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalog and releasing a total of ten new titles. These are unlocking on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, around 10 AM – so, practically now.
Which New Games Are Coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium Today?
Helldivers 2 already kicked things off, surprisingly joining the catalog early on August 12. Starting today, the following games are joining:
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – the story-driven medieval RPG from Warhorse Studios
- Vampire Survivors – the genre-defining survival roguelite hit
- Hell is Us – Action-adventure with an unusual approach, no classic quest markers
- Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash – Party game spin-off of the popular Umamusume series
- Two Point Museum – the management sim successor to Two Point Hospital, this time with a museum setting
- Metro Exodus – the post-apocalyptic shooter from the Metro series
- Dying Light 2 – Open-world zombie action with a parkour focus
Additionally, two classics are joining exclusively for the Premium tier: Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, the 2006 PS2 action game, as well as Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire with technical improvements for modern consoles.
Which Games Are Leaving the PS Plus Catalog?
As every month, Sony is also making room for the new additions. Among others, Dead Island 2, Unicorn Overlord, and Earth Defense Force 6 are leaving the Extra and Premium catalog. If you still want to play these games or are in the middle of them, you should launch them one more time before the changeover – while saved game data usually remains, access via the subscription ends on today's cutoff date.
From our perspective, this is one of the stronger PS Plus waves in recent months: With Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Metro Exodus, two extensive single-player heavyweights are included, and the fact that Helldivers 2 arrived a few days earlier than usual shows that Sony intends to strategically leverage the community hype around the co-op game, rather than simply releasing it on the regular cutoff date.
