The new monthly lineup for PlayStation Plus kicks off on September 1st: Essential, Extra, and Premium members will receive four new games for their libraries – including, unusually, a current annual sports title with MLB The Show 26.

- Sniper Elite: Resistance – A third-person tactical shooter set in occupied France during World War II, playing parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5
- Wobbly Life – A physics-based open-world sandbox game featuring wobbly ragdoll characters, with co-op for up to four players online or via splitscreen
- Chained Echoes – A critically acclaimed 16-bit retro JRPG featuring dragons and mech pilots in the world of Valandis
How Long Can You Download and Keep the Games?
All four titles will be available for PS4 and PS5 starting September 1st and can be downloaded until October 6th. If you add them to your library within this period, you can keep and play them permanently, as long as your PS Plus subscription remains active – meaning you can re-download them anytime later.
Why Is MLB The Show 26's Inclusion Unusual?
Annual sports game franchises typically don't arrive in the PS Plus catalog until one to two years after their release, usually when the successor has already launched. The fact that MLB The Show 26 is available for free so soon after its release is unusually generous and is likely due to Sony owning San Diego Studio as a first-party developer, with the series naturally focusing heavily on its own console user base.
