Two years in the Early Access oven, and now the cake is ready: Palworld makes the leap to full version 1.0 on July 9th/10th, 2026. Simultaneously on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), PS5, Xbox Series X|S/One, and Game Pass. No staggered rollout, no platform favoritism – everyone gets it on the same day.
And this is no small final update. Developer Pocketpair itself calls it the biggest update in the game's history. The patch notes? 27 pages long. Some games don't even manage that many lines in their entire Early Access lifespan. All details are available in the official announcement from Pocketpair.
Two new features particularly stand out. The new “Wing Pack” finally makes you independent of flying Pals: gliding and flying are now possible directly on your own back, without having to sacrifice a precious party slot for a mount. And then there's the “World Tree” – the tree you've only been able to admire on the horizon since its 2024 release. Now it's finally accessible, as a completely new endgame area with surrounding islands and a fresh story.
Your old save files will be preserved, so you don't have to start from scratch. Pocketpair still recommends a fresh start because a lot has changed fundamentally. If you want to get an overview beforehand, it's best to take a look at Palworld's Steam Store page.
And honestly: This deserves respect. Only about 25 percent of all Early Access titles on Steam ever make it to a full release. The rest either remain “in development” forever or quietly disappear. Palworld simply does it – with a bang.
