Nintendo has added a tangible reward to the ongoing “DK Challenge” for Nintendo Switch Online: those who complete all tasks on time will receive a physical 39-piece trading card set featuring designs from Donkey Kong Bananza and the classic DK games available in the Switch Online library – including its own storage box.
What do I need to do to get the DK card set?
Here are the key details at a glance:
- You must complete all challenges in the DK Challenge to qualify.
- The deadline is September 1st, 12:59 PM PT (which is late night / early morning on September 1st in German time).
- The set consists of 39 cards: 24 are based on challenges from Donkey Kong Bananza, and 15 on challenges from the retro DK games in the Switch Online library.
- For Donkey Kong Bananza itself, you need the game in addition to your Switch Online membership; it is not included in the subscription.
- Eligible members will receive redemption instructions via My Nintendo in early October.
- No Platinum Points are explicitly required for this – the set is purely a bonus reward.
Will German players also get the card set?
Unfortunately, we have to temper expectations here: according to the current announcement, this promotion is explicitly limited to members in the USA so far. In past My Nintendo promotions, Nintendo has occasionally brought such US-exclusive rewards to Europe with a delay, but there's no guarantee or specific date for this. Those using Switch Online in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland should therefore keep their expectations low for now and, if in doubt, keep an eye on My Nintendo for local updates.
