Just over a month before release, Rockstar is following up: On a new GTA 6 website, you can now listen in on six radio stations. Additionally, the series is finally getting a feature it's foregone for years: music and podcasts will now play outside of cars.
Which Radio Stations Has Rockstar Confirmed for GTA 6?
Rockstar speaks of the series' „largest and most diverse radio offering to date.“ So far, these stations have been introduced:
- Cocoteo FM: modern Latin music, hosted by El Martillo (voiced by Bad Bunny) and La Gata (RaiNao).
- Back Country Radio: Country with MW (Morgan Wallen) and Delta Dawne (Lana Del Rey).
- AfroBank FM: African music from classics to Amapiano, presented by Burna (Burna Boy) and Palmsy (Palms Trax).
- The Chamber 106.6: Metal with DJ Kerry (Kerry King) and DJ Tom (Tom Araya).
- Flash FM: Pop with Robyn and Alex (Alex Consani).
- Dirty South Classics: Rap and Hip-Hop with Trick Daddy and Trina.
Excerpts are available from artists including Loretta Lynn, Waylon Jennings, DJ Khaled, and a remix by Axel Rulay. According to IGN, the snippets also hint at acts like Charli XCX, MGMT, and Black Sabbath. Whether Rockstar will reveal the complete tracklist before launch remains to be seen.
What's Changing with Headphones and Podcasts?
The biggest change is mobility: Jason and Lucia will get headphones and earbuds connected to their smartphones. This means radio and on-demand podcasts will play both in vehicles and on foot. Previously, radio in the series was limited to cars and select buildings – a fan request that Rockstar has now officially fulfilled.

What Do the New GTA 6 Screenshots Show?
In parallel with the radio reveal, Rockstar has released three new screenshots. They showcase day and night life, such as a highway with dozens of vehicles, with birds and an airplane flying overhead. According to IGN, the night shot with puddle reflections in the neon glow of a hotel is particularly celebrated. Rockstar has not revealed which console the captures were taken on – and performance details are still pending. This is interesting because GTA 6 will be released exclusively for consoles on November 19th, from the Xbox Series S to the PS5 Pro.
What Does This Mean for You Before Release?
From our perspective, this is more than just cosmetic: those who spend a lot of time on foot in open-world games finally get soundtrack control without a car. This aligns with Rockstar's recent direction in game design – we previously highlighted this with multiple escape routes in mission design and Rob Nelson's explanation of how Jason and Lucia function as a couple. The prominent cast behind the stations also shows how much budget is being invested in details. Eurogamer also points out that unauthorized gameplay footage from leaker CyberLeek reportedly resurfaced simultaneously – a topic we are deliberately choosing not to elaborate on further.
