Rockstar is once again fueling the hype machine: The studio has released three new screenshots from GTA 6, and the community is already dissecting them pixel by pixel. With the release on November 19th not far off, marketing efforts are noticeably ramping up.
The highlight is a night shot of Vice City: neon lights, palm trees, and a street where the skyline reflects in puddles. Cars also reflect their surroundings. Several hotels are visible in the image, with nightlife unfolding in front of them. The Ocean View Hotel has a ground-floor bar with people dancing on its roof. Even neatly lined-up e-scooters are discernible.

What Do the Three New GTA 6 Screenshots Reveal in Detail?
The second image shows Vice City by daylight: a highway in the foreground, the skyline on the horizon, and, of course, a construction site. Numerous vehicle models from different price ranges are on the road, from compact cars to trucks and sports cars. Additionally, helicopters, planes, and a small boat are visible as other means of transport.
- A street sign points to an "Oceanarium" – likely inspired by the real Miami Seaquarium. Fans speculate whether the golden dome in the picture could be the entrance.
- On a car, an establishment named "Horny" advertises itself.
- In the third image, people are celebrating at night in front of the graffiti-decorated "Conch King" building with a shell-crown logo. Cars with neon underglow lighting are left open, and in the background, someone is rummaging through a dumpster at a gas station.
According to GameStar, it's unclear whether this is actual gameplay or cutscene material – for the third image, both are conceivable.

Will GTA 6 Really Look This Good on Consoles?
That's the most exciting unanswered question. The gameplay footage shown on Netflix was recorded on a standard PS5, not a PS5 Pro. This time, Rockstar hasn't specified which platform the screenshots originated from. So, how good the reflections will ultimately look on the base consoles remains to be seen.
How Do the Images Align with Rockstar's Promise of a Living World?
Well. Rockstar wants every character in the world to have their own background and for NPCs to behave as lifelike as possible. The groups of people in the night image convey precisely this impression. We recently detailed how serious the studio is about missions and the open world in our report on Rockstar opening up mission design with multiple escape routes instead of linear paths. The promise of action and chaos despite realism also fits this narrative.
From our perspective, screenshots are a strong signal, but not yet proof. Marketing images always show the best moments – only the release on November 19th will reveal how the game looks broadly and on which hardware it truly runs smoothly. It's exciting that Rockstar is focusing on so many details like lighting, reflections, and background activity so close to launch: this is precisely how Part 6 aims to distinguish itself from its predecessor.
