The weekly Treasure Hunt is a fixed part of the Festival Playlist rhythm in Forza Horizon 6: Playground Games hides a chest somewhere on the map every week and provides a photo clue riddle. This week it's the Shimanoyama region's turn, and whoever cracks the chest not only collects a good amount of Credits but also makes progress in the Season.

Where Exactly is the Treasure Chest Located in the Shimanoyama Region?

The chest is located at the Shimanoyama Circuit, which is the race track in the far northeast of the Shimanoyama region. On the map, you can identify the spot by the red icon with the checkered finish flag – this marks the road race event at exactly this circuit. Fast travel there to save yourself the drive, and you'll land directly in front of the track entrance.

How Do I Specifically Find the Chest On-Site?

Once you've driven through the main gate of the racetrack, you'll see a row of open pit lanes on the left side with advertising banners above the gates – these are the typical service stations known from racing events. The treasure chest is in the third pit from the left. You don't need to do anything complicated: simply drive your car into the chest, and it will break, with the reward automatically credited.

A few things to make the process easier:

• Use the fast travel function to the Circuit icon instead of driving cross-country yourself – this saves time and ensures you don't miss the pit lane.
• When driving through the gate, look immediately to the left; the pits are right behind the entrance.
• Count the pits from the entrance; the chest is in the third one – otherwise, you might easily overlook it if driving fast.

For finding it, you'll be rewarded with 100,000 Credits and three points for the Festival Playlist of the current Season. These points are not just an incidental bonus: they directly count towards the Season progression bar and help unlock the seasonal reward cars as well as other milestone bonuses of the current Series. So, if you're saving up for a specific vehicle from the current Season anyway, you shouldn't skip the Treasure Hunt.

Playground Games deliberately uses this format to send players across the entire map anew each week, instead of just grinding on the same old racetracks.
