Fortnite OG is getting another grand showdown moment today: The live event “The Final Showdown” kicks off at 6:00 PM UTC – which is 8:00 PM German time. If you want to experience it live, make sure to log in on time, as Epic Games opens the lobby beforehand and won't let latecomers in once the event has started.
Content-wise, it's the return of a true fan-favorite: the final battle between the gigantic Mecha Team Leader and the monstrous The Devourer, originally from Chapter 1 Season 9. This moment is now being re-enacted in the OG playlist.
When Exactly Does the Final Showdown Event Start in Fortnite?
- Log in by 5:55 PM UTC at the latest (7:55 PM German time)

- Storm automatically pauses 10 minutes before the start
- Player damage will be disabled for the duration of the event

What Happens During the Battle Between Mecha Team Leader and The Devourer?
Just like in the original 2019 event, the player-controlled Mecha Team Leader and the monster boss The Devourer will clash in the finale. Because Epic disables damage between players for the duration of the spectacle, it’s not about winning a round, but about watching and experiencing – similar to an interactive concert moment, which Fortnite regularly uses for major brand crossovers.
