Players of Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen on Nintendo Switch 2 will need to hold on a bit longer: Capcom has confirmed that a dedicated update for the Switch 2 version is 'currently in development.' The publisher has not yet provided a release date.
What Did Capcom Announce?
Title Update 4.1 was first released for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. It addresses several known issues and includes adjustments and bug fixes for vocations, enemies, Pawns, NPCs, the user interface, and quests, among other things. The full patch notes are available on the game's official website.
This update is not yet available for the Switch 2 version of “Arisen.” Capcom states that it will be released 'at a later date' and asks for patience.
What Does This Mean for Switch 2 Players?
Dark Arisen has only been available since early October. For anyone who has noticed issues on Nintendo's new console, this provides at least an assurance that fixes are on the way. Specifically, this means you don't have to do anything other than keep your console online and look out for the download. When exactly the patch will arrive, and whether it will fully include the content of Title Update 4.1, remains to be seen.
It's not uncommon for multiplatform releases to receive updates at different times, often due to separate certification processes. However, it's still frustrating for the community when the newest hardware, in particular, has to wait. From our perspective, Capcom's clear communication here is the best they can do without providing a specific release date.
So, keep an eye on our updates as soon as Capcom announces a timeline for the Switch 2 update.
