Activision has made it official: Yesterday, July 13, 2026, Season 05 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone was officially announced. Starting July 23, the new content will roll out for all platforms – featuring a new map, new weapons, and a packed Battle Pass.
Activision released the full details in the official Season 05 blog post, confirmed concurrently on the official Call of Duty website. Here's an overview of the key new additions:
- New Multiplayer Map “Jubilee”: a rural Japanese festival ground for fast-paced close-quarters combat
- Two returning maps from Black Ops 4: the remakes of “Dig” and “Frequency”
- The Battle Pass headliner is Spectre, the assassin from Black Ops 3 and 4
- New weapons in the Battle Pass: the FG42 assault rifle and the Gremlin dual-wield SMG
- Additionally, via Events and Weekly Challenges, players can acquire the Mammoth LMG and the Mace melee weapon
- In Warzone, “Drone Labs” lands as a new Point of Interest south of The Quarry on Verdansk
- Also new in Warzone: the Juggernaut Suit, as well as Supply and Hunter-Killer Drones
- Zombies gets a new Survival map at launch, and over the course of the season, the story will conclude with a showdown against the Warden
- Mid-season will see the arrival of the Nuketown Pinball map “Turbo Tilt,” a new Freerun Parkour map, and the Gauntlet Rush and Cranked Moshpit modes
- Endgame gets the new Assignment “Burn Run” and additional Ability Boosts for Operators
Meanwhile, preparations for the next major installment in the series have long been underway in the background: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has already been officially announced by Activision for October 23, 2026. Until then, Season 05 should certainly inject plenty of fresh air into Black Ops 7 and Warzone.
