Ubisoft has commented on the New Game Plus mode for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The update is expected next week, but an exact date and details about the mode are still missing. GamePro anticipates a release on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, likely around 4 PM German time.
When Is New Game Plus Coming to Black Flag Resynced?
Only “next week” has been confirmed so far. A specific day and time have not been set. According to GamePro, previous updates for the remake usually launched on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. So, just in case, plan for the entire middle of the week if you want to dive in right away.
What Do We Know About the NG+ Mode?
This is the announcement’s weak point: Ubisoft hasn’t revealed anything about how it will work yet. GamePro considers it likely that you won’t just keep cosmetic items like outfits. Ship upgrades, melee weapons, and gear upgrades could also carry over. However, this is speculation and not a commitment from Ubisoft.
For those who have already completed their savegame, New Game Plus offers the chance for a fresh playthrough with new challenges and rewards. As an open-world game, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced already provides many hours of gameplay, but for many, the Caribbean has long been explored.
Is the NG+ Mode Coming Too Late?
A look at the series reveals: The waiting time is not unusual. According to GamePro, the mode for Origins, Shadows, and Mirage only arrived about two to five months after release. Only Valhalla never received a New Game Plus mode. For Resynced, there are about four months between launch and the update.
From our perspective, the timing is still tight. GTA 6 releases on November 19th, and many players' focus will likely be elsewhere for weeks afterward. So, anyone looking to revisit Black Flag should get the update early. While the developers would also need the time until then to technically improve the game, they will only capture attention with the mode within a short window.
As soon as Ubisoft announces the date and details, we will update this page.
